Hello friends..........how have you been and I hope your week is going great?! I am so glad I finally get to post about my experience at ART X exhibition 2017 which took place at the civic center, Victoria island lagos between 3rd - 5th November. I attended the last exhibition that took place on the 5th and my first stop was the colouring bus which was placed out, I left my mark on the bus by signing my signature.  My next stop was the ground floor (indoor) where I took pictures at the ART X backdrop, from there I proceeded to the first level where artworks were displayed.  Lemi Ghariokwu's iconic record sleeves designed for flea kuti and the Ghana pesewa coins artwork by Yaw Owusu were both intriguing and breathtaking respectively.      Fela record sleeves by lemi Ghariokwu's  Pesewa coins artwork by Yaw Owusu This photographic artwork is so enthralling  At lakin ogunbawo ...

Book Review || Gravity and The Silent Girl by Tess Gerritsen

Image
let's talk about the bestseller author Tess Gerritsen "FICTION QUEEN"  books Gravity and The Silent girl. GRAVITY is a story about a plague - like epidemic is on a space station, where a team of six astronauts suddenly found themselves threatened by a virulent Bio hazard. Victims first register a headache, followed by stomach pains, then their eyes turn blood red. Finally, they convulsed so violently that they literally bash themselves apart. The most Frightening part is what spills out of their bodies - green egg filled globules. Astronaut Emma Watson, the station's onboard doctor struggles to fight the outbreak while her colleagues die one by one. The first Astronaut to get sick was a Japanese, he was sent down to earth via space shuttle, but dead on arrival. The Smart Money Woman by Arese Ugwu Book Review

Image
The rave online about this book made me buy it months back and I was not disappointed. The story line is fictional and predictable but also it is entertaining. It revolves around the life of a lagos "big girl" Zuri and her 4 friends. The finance part of the book was so on point and I learnt a lot about investing, types of income, networking and so much more. Arese also included pratical exercises at the end of every chapter and for me I feel smart money woman speaks finance in an everyday layman's language because the advices are sound and easily achieve able. Overall , the smart money is a pretty good read and I would rate it an 8/10. I would also recommend this book because it's a must read. Have you read the book??? Let me know by dropping your comments below.

Book review: Purple Hibiscus by chimamanda Adichie and The Woman Next Door by Yewande Omotoso

Image
When one reads Purple Hibiscus for the first time, one might easily conclude that it's a sad story, but for me it was an experience of story telling heaven. The first thing one notices about Chimamanda Adichie is her style and her language, it's accessible , sophisticated and structure is well executed. The story is told in the fifteen years old voice of Kambili, readers are introduced to her brother jaja, her papa and mama. It is clear from the outset that all is not well in their household. It's a touching and heart rending story about the traumatic moments of a wealthy Nigerian family as it gradually breaks up, the cruel abuses of a father turned callous by a brand of catholicism. The victims survived, however rescued by the love that binds the children to their mother and the mother to her children. On the other hand, the woman next door is a funny novel by yewande omotoso, it is  about  2 old and very opinionated n eighbours living in katterijn, a wealthy su...
