AFRICAN CREATIVE EXHIBITION AWARDS 2018 : what to expect at the second edition.

Creative MSMEs have invaded Nigeria and we certainly are not complaining.
In 2016, it became apparent that Nigeria was an import driven nation and that was how the “Buy Naija to the grow Naira” came to be.
However, various sects of the economy are realising that for Nigeria to diversify and become an export driven nation, the beam light falls on MSMEs.
A fresh year is on the calendar and it is almost time for the second edition of the annual African Creative Exhibition and Awards (termed ACE Awards) hosted by Bellaafricana. It brings to Lagos the best creative minds in the fields of Art and Craft, Fashion, Manufacturing, Beauty, Food Produce and so much more.
The Awards is an initiative of Bellafricana, a platform with a focus on Afrocentric Made-in-Nigeria (Africa) Non-oil products development where customers and suppliers engage and transact to bridge the buyer-seller gap and create a wider outreach for Nigerian (African) products locally & globally.
Micro, small and medium-size businesses nationwide produce a great deal of outstanding products, yet these creative business owners aren’t encouraged to innovate and create more.

ACE AWARDS 2018 is themed "Creativity and Innovation in Nation Building" and is scheduled to hold on Saturday, April 28, 2018 by 9:00am at D-Venue, Water Corporation Drive, Off Ligali Ayorinde, Oniru, Lagos, Nigeria.
The event is looking to attract over 6,000 attendees, 70 exhibitors, 15 Awardees and 8 Speakers.






It is endorsed by the Lagos State Government, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC), Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC), Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Nigeria-Britain Association and will offer participants a unique opportunity to showcase their talents and to have their work judged by consumers and experts.
This Annual African Creative Exhibition and Awards (ACE Awards) aims to laud the creative works of Nigerians (Africans) and is certainly one of the strongest tools in awakening creative, innovative and entrepreneurship drive in young people in Nigeria and indeed Africa.
ACE Awards 2018 has also received backings from the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) and supported by other organisations such as Sovereign Guards, Digital Marketing Skill Institute, DODO Agency, Noah’s Ark, Labule, Swift, Uber, ASSETS, Lara Rose, Bella Naija, The Guardian, Inside Watch Africa, Metro Woman, Pulse Nigeria, Connect Nigeria, Woman.ng, The Entrepreneur Africa, Africa on Rise, BEN TV, NTA, Lost in Lagos, Farabale, DHL, Boulos, Mamahz model and much more.
This will be a three phase event in which two (Exhibition and Conference) of the phases will run simultaneously while the third phase (Awards Dinner) will be held as the peak of the event.

What better way to enjoy the weekend than to go to a cookout party with fellow bloggers, networking, cooking and having the best afternoon. The cookout was hosted by  pulse.ng  ,  samanthasbistro  and  gourmet burger bar  . We were about 15 bloggers invited to this cookout party and we had chef dumebi (founder and  chief chef of samanthas bistro) and chef James to take us through the process of making our own burgers. So I got to the venue of the cookout party   ( samanthas bistro ) late and I met everyone playing a game called the burger twister, it's a game played in pairs ( a pair of 2 people ) and the result of the game decides the ingredients you get to use in making your own burger ( yes we all were going to make our burgers ourselves) .  I got paired with chef James and it was just hilarious  ( I wish I have a picture to show that part). My Lagos Waka || A tour of Lekki Arts Market and Nike Art Gallery ( Tips, Hacks and market finds)

Touring the Lekki Arts and Crafts  Market I finally got around organizing my first (group) tour  of the tour series called THE LAGOS WAKA  and on my tour list , the lekki arts and craft market was the first but i decided to add Nike Art Gallery ( I have been there thrice ) on this tour since it was on the same axis  as the art and Crafts Market.  The funny thing about this trip was that just like the normal African fashion, 5 people indicated interest in going on this tour and on the day of the tour trip only Royalbiba of     www.royalbiba.com    showed up while others came up with excuses. EVENT || CREATIVITY AT SAO AND THE MUSE 3

Recently I attended the Sao and the muse 3 event and all i can say is i was awed by the level of creativity showcased by young Nigerian artists who spend time in their own unique ways , creating art in it's many forms. Sao and the muse is an annual art event , a creative's haven with diverse medium and bodies of work . The event is currently in it's third year, and it was held from August 3 - 5th , at  Sao cafe, Lagos. It was my first time attending and I would say it's different from other art exhibitions I have been to. There was a relaxed atmosphere enabling guests not to only see art but engage with it. This year exhibition themed "Collaboration Era"  explores the power of artists eith diverse mediums coming together to create out of the box art,  and below are the exhibiting artists and their installations for this year's Sao and the muse.
